Creative Literacy Partnerships

Transform your school’s approach to English!

An Anchor Creative Literacy Partnership consists of a SPaG Drama Day, each week, for the entire term or school year. Your Anchor specialist will lead a SPaG singing assembly followed by a day of English-based drama sessions with the classes and SPaG themes of your choice. Classes see their Anchor specialist each week for a bespoke drama session designed to expand the pupil’s knowledge of their current literacy goals. Across the length of a term, pupils will learn dozens of the Anchor SPaG and phonics songs, which utilise repetition, physical actions and melody, to consolidate the pupils’ knowledge of, and ability to implement, a grammatical skill (or word classification) within their writing.

From phonics and sentence structure in EYFS to the complexities of English spelling, punctuation and grammar, Anchor have specific drama activities, games and (our original) SPaG songs to expand your pupils’ knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum.

The Anchor sessions are a wonderful CPD opportunity for staff as we have bespoke drama activities, games and songs for the entire English curriculum not to mention our creative approach to behaviour management and inclusion.

Creative Literacy Partnership (A SPaG Drama Day per week)

Full School Year (36 weeks) - £7,950

The children are very engaged and enjoy every session.; the songs are very memorable and the pupils apply them in all SPaG lessons throughout the week. The songs are very engaging and are great for staff CPD. Children remember the words and retain the information given to them.
